The more research I do on Stress and Anxiety the more I understand that we think too much.

Trying to analysis our emotions instead of just taking them to be true. Emotions are like a stop

light. Sometimes they say go other times they may say slow down or stop. When they tell us

stop we need to sit with those emotions. Just feel them. So often we are trying to get rid of the

uncomfortable emotions instead of just sitting with them until they die down. WE want to fix it.

Emotions don’t need to be fixed. They just need to be felt. When we push away or ignore our

emotions it’s like stuffing a can with springs eventually it or you will pop.

Some tips for sitting with the emotions.

1). Just let them flow.

2). Try not to fix anything or push them away.

3). When the emotions start to die down, take 5 to 10 deep breaths. Really focus on how the

air flows into your body, the muscles you use to breathe and how you feel connected to your

body. Feel the air leave your lungs, repeat.
